US President hails North Korea for dismantling missile site
US President Donald Trump welcomed Tuesday reports based on satellite images that North Korea has started dismantling facilities of a testing ground for intercontinental ballistic missiles. Trump said US appreciates it while addressing a veterans event in Kansas City, Missouri.
The same day, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that Pyongyang's taking down a processing building and a rocket-engine test stand was entirely consistent with commitments North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un made to Trump during their June summit in Singapore. Pompeo said at a news conference in California that he's been pressing for there to be inspectors on the ground when that engine test facility is dismantled, consistent with Kim's commitment.
