US President vows to defeat Islamic State

US President Donald Trump vowed Monday that the US and its allies would defeat radical Islamic terrorism and keep radical jihadists from gaining a foothold on US soil.

In his first visit to the US Central Command in Florida, Trump said freedom, security, and justice will prevail. He accused Islamic State fighters of leading a campaign of genocide and committing atrocities across the world. The President promised a record large budget for the US army to double its anti-terrorism efforts.

But Trump did not offer details about his strategy to defeat the ISIS and whether he would scrap the anti-ISIS mission in Iraq and Syria undertaken by his predecessor Barack Obama.
