US President wants best possible agreement on nuclear weapons with Russia

US President Donald Trump on Thursday said the best agreement he could have with Russian President Vladimir Putin would be one on a world free from nuclear weapons.

Asked what would be the best possible result from his meeting with Putin, Trump said: No more nuclear weapons anywhere in the world, no more wars, no more problems, no more conflicts.

Trump described Putin as a competitor rather than an enemy. He added that his upcoming meeting with Putin would be the easiest part of his European trip.

Trump is on a week-long visit to Europe. He will meet with Putin in Finland early next week to discuss bilateral ties, national defense, and global issues. Earlier, Trump attended a NATO summit in Brussels, putting pressure on NATO's members to increase their defense spending.
