Vietnam allocates 20 percent of State budget to education development
On Wednesday, Minister of Education and Training, Phung Xuan Nha, answered queries on measures to improve the quality of tertiary and universal education, and the management of kindergarten education.
Mr. Nha said that the education sector has seen considerable achievements as Vietnam allocates 20 percent of its State budget to education in addition to enterprises' contributions: We have carried out projects to attract investment by society and enterprises in education. As the number of Vietnamese studying overseas increases every year, we are also working to create a high quality education system in Vietnam. The State budget is mostly spent on general education, while education for disadvantaged areas depends on private investment.
