Vietnam celebrates Children’s Day

An exhibition of photos and paintings entitled 2017 Children art awards is the highlight of the 20th Children's world festival, which was opened on Tuesday to celebrate Children's Day.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Vuong Duy Bien spoke at the opening ceremony: The Children's world festival is held annually in Vietnam to celebrate Children's day with different topics. The art exhibition is the center of this year's event. The pictures are excellent, which shows improvements in Art education. The good thing is that the topics of the pictures match the concerns of the entire society, including: environment, safe traffic, helping the elderly and the disabled. I think this is a good social interaction.

72 thousand pictures by more than 1 thousand individuals, schools, and children's culture centers have been registered. 305 entries were selected for the exhibition and awards were given to 70 individuals and groups.

Other activities of this year's Children's world festival will include a children's paintings exhibition of traffic culture, book display, and a talent show.
