Vietnam. Egypt pledge further cooperation
Vietnam believes that with strong political will, Vietnam and Egypt will work closely and support each other at multilateral, regional and international forums for the benefit of their peoples and for peace, stability, cooperation, and development.
Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Communication and Education Vo Van Thuong made the remarks at his meetings with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and Parliament Speaker Ali Abdel Aal during his visit to Egypt over the past few days. Mr. Thuong praised Egypt's recent achievements, particularly its efforts to maintain political stability, security, and economic growth.
At meetings with leaders of Egypt's Communist and Socialist Parties, Mr. Thuong said Vietnam is persistent to its goal of national independence being closely linked with socialism and that Vietnam is always a loyal friend and a reliable partner.
Meeting the Egyptian Ministers of Foreign Affairs, and Communication and Information Technology, Mr. Thuong reiterated Vietnam's commitment to strengthen ties with Egypt and appreciate Egypt's role in the Non-Aligned Movement and in maintaining stability and peace in the Middle East.
