Vietnam on track to lure 15 million foreign arrivals in 2018

Nearly 13 million foreign tourists have chosen Vietnam as their destination since the beginning of this year, up 22 percent year on year, according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT).

The numbers of tourists increased from most markets, particularly South Korea, Finland, China, and Denmark. Vietnam aims to attract at least 15 million foreign arrivals this year. The fourth quarter is a peak season for foreign tourists, so if the current growth rate is sustained, the goal will be met. The VNAT has coordinated with some agencies to launch a smart tourism portal at so as to provide comprehensive information about Vietnam's tourism and help users gain better travel experiences.
