Vietnam, US work together to address post-war aftermath

The Vietnam-US Society held a workshop in Hanoi on Monday to address post-war consequences such as Agent Orange (AO)/Dioxin, unexploded ordnance, and missing Vietnamese soldiers. The workshop was attended by members of the US Veterans for Peace.

President of the Society Nguyen Tam Chien welcomed the US war veterans to Vietnam and acknowledged their contributions to healing the scars of war.

Chuck Searcy, Vice President of the US Veterans for Peace, said all visiting war veterans have a common goal of protesting the war and promoting peace and friendship between Vietnam and the US. The US guests want to study the resolution of post-war aftermath in Vietnam and will support the fight for justice for AO/dioxin victims.
