Vietnamese-German University marks 10-year operation
The Binh Duong-based Vietnamese�German University (VGU) celebrated its 10th founding anniversary at a ceremony on Saturday.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City's municipal Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan, and Minister of Science and Arts at the German state of Hessen Boris Rhein. The university's principal, Tomas Benz, said: "Over the past ten years, the Vietnamese�German University has never stopped developing thanks to regular discussions by ministries and agencies of the two countries. Since its establishment, we were committed to bring the university to success and will continue to work together to realize our goals."
During the event, the university granted awards to outstanding lecturers and reached an agreement with Siemens Vietnam to cooperate in training and research of the Industry 4.0 and energy technology.
