White House considers new executive order on immigration

The White House is considering a new executive order on immigration now that President Trump's travel ban has been blocked by the US courts.

In an interview with Fox News television on Sunday, White House senior policy adviser Stephen Miller said the administration is considering a range of actions to ensure that immigration is not a path for foreign terrorists. He said the US must protect it borders and people and President Trump has a right to ban someone from entering the US.

On January 27, Trump signed an order banning travel from 7 Muslin-majority countries for 90 days, suspending all refugee admissions for 120 days, and suspending Syrian refugee admissions indefinitely. This order has been blocked by US courts.
