Young people join global voluntary festival for sustainable development

More than 1,000 volunteers from Vietnam and 35 other countries joined a global voluntary festival for sustainable development in Hanoi on Sunday.

The highlight of the festival was the presentation of youth innovation awards supported by Irish Aid to honor active and impressive contributions to community.

Don Tuan Phuong, Director of the Center for Research of Sustainable Development, which organized the event, said: This year's topic is youth action for the environment and the fight against climate change. We maintain the innovation awards to honor young people in social development and environmental protection.

The annual festival, which was first held in 2011, aims to affirm the Vietnamese youth's contributions to addressing global social problems.
