Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong visited and presented gifts to the inter-sectoral force working Huu Nghi (Friendship) International Border Gate on Friday as part of his working trip to the northern mountainous province of Lang Son. Talking to Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Xiong Bo, the Party leader noted that as the name says it all, Huu Nghi International Border Gate demonstrates the time-honored friendship between the Vietnamese and Chinese people, who are “comrades and brothers”.
Vietnam always attaches importance and gives top priority to building and developing its fruitful relations with the Chinese Party, State and people, he said.
Mr. Trong lauded efforts by local authorities and competent forces at the border gate in coordinating with China to promote friendship and cooperation between localities of the two neighboring countries, including the management and building of a common borderline of peace, cooperation and development.
Party leader Trong and Ambassador Xiong jointly planted a tree at Huu Nghi border gate.
