UK supports transfer of field hospital to Vietnam

The UK Defense Ministry will support the transfer of a level-2 field hospital in South Sudan to Vietnamese control, Chief of Joint Operations John Lorimer told visiting Vietnamese military officials.

The Vietnamese delegation, led by Pham Ngoc Minh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, are on a visit to the UK from Tuesday to Saturday. They worked with the UK Ministry of Defence and the General Staff of the British Armed Forces, and visited the Army Medical Services Training Centre in York. The two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in peacekeeping.
