Vietnam aims to earn 4.2 billion USD from shrimp export

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong has asked localities and enterprises to deploy measures to help the shrimp sector to earn 4.1-4.2 billion USD from exports this year.

Minister Cuong stressed the need to strengthen connections in the shrimp value chain to reduce costs and improve quality and value. He said it is important to control the quality of breeding shrimp, shrimp feed, environmental treatment products, and shrimp processing methods to meet the demand of domestic and foreign markets, and enhance the competitiveness of Vietnamese shrimp.
