95% of Japanese tech firms ready to receive Vietnamese IT engineers

80 per cent of Japanese companies surveyed at the Japan Information Communications Technology (ICT) Day in Da Nang City on Tuesday said they are ready to recruiting foreigners, and 95 per cent are interested in employing Vietnamese IT engineers, the Vietnam Software and IT Service Association (VINASA) said in a report.

A representative of the Japan Information Industry Association (JISA) said Japan has an IT manpower shortage and needs 780,000 IT engineers. Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, and Japanese language training, along with business culture and market access, will be major education topics among Vietnamese job applicants, the official said.
